The Key To Happiness Lies In Our Pocket

Landing a new job, or passing an exam makes us inadvertently happy. It is human nature, after all. What we do not realize is that by doing this, by tying our emotions to such actions, we are basically allowing others to control our state of being.
Let us put it in reverse to better understand this.
Losing that same job or failing the exam has the opposite effect. It inadvertently makes us sad, makes us miserable. Again, we are putting our entire emotional disposition in the hands of others.
The examiner might be fair and give us the grade that we deserve. Conversely, our boss might hold a grudge, so the next time the company incurs losses and looks to cover budgetary holes, our position could be the first one to go.
It does not matter that we have stayed late at the office more times than we can recount. Things sometimes work in our favour, but they can just as well work against us.
This is why it is so important to keep the key to our happiness in our own pocket. This is why it is so important to focus on inner peace and stability.
Our actions alone can either break us or make us. Why give this power to someone else? Of course, it can be quite strenuous to achieve a state of tranquility in such a chaotic and disorganized world that emphasizes materialism over everything else.
Meditation and praying certainly help. Putting ourselves in the service of those around us always leads to happiness.
Doing the right thing will never ever disrupt our calmness. Meeting people, resting, playing, and simply doing something enjoyable are also good ways to find balance.
Ultimately, the best solution to our increasing challenges is to look inward, not outward.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, everyone! Have a wonderful day, everyone! :)
