More People Have A Mobile Than A Toilet

Matt Damon's toilet strike may be silly, but it actually reveals some worrying issues about the state of our world. Learning that 700.000.000 people lack access to clean water while an additional 2.5 billion lack access to a toilet or basic sanitation is mind blowing. The sad part was when he said that more people have a mobile than a toilet. It is sadder still that we ourselves are responsible for letting this happen. If we all took a break from our busy lives and just looked around us, we would see the true condition of our fellow man. The harsh reality is that we are constantly promoting an unequal society where some have too much while the rest have nothing. We all consider ourselves to be nice, but are we really that nice? The matter of the fact is that the deals of our trade are but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of our business.

Mankind should be our business!

Fortunately, each and everyone can help remedy this situation: water.org and world toilet day represent a good starting point. Of course, this is just a small part of what we can do. We all have the power to change the world. It just takes kindness and determination to do so.
I really hope that one day we will care less about material possessions and more about those around us.
      God bless us, everyone!
