Hatsune Miku has become a true idol thanks to the popularity of vocaloid music. The concept started out as a singing synthesizer application with a female persona, developed by Crypton Future Media.
With Sega's involvement, Hatsune Miku has since become a gaming idol as well with titles such as Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA for the PSP.
For many years, the only way to play a vocaloid game outside of Japan was by either importing or modding.
Fortunately, that is about to change as SEGA is now considering a Western release of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F for the PS3. The company first tested the waters by demoing Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f for the PS Vita at last year's E3. With the poor sales of Sony's latest handheld, at least in the West, it seems that SEGA has now shifted its focus on the PS3-only F version. Of course, there is still a bit of uncertainty as SEGA is asking fans to like and share this potential release. You can do so right here.
Let us hope that everyone will show their support so that we can play this sooner rather than later.
