I Think SEGA Released The Wrong Version Of Aliens

It is universally accepted that Aliens: Colonial Marines is one the worst games in recent times.
One of the reasons for this might be the fact that SEGA chose to publish the horrific game made by Gearbox Software instead of the one that Obsidian Entertainment had been working on so diligently.
Even in its Alpha stage, Aliens: Crucible looks a million times better than the generic shooter we ended up with in the end. The interesting part is that Aliens: Crucible was meant to be an Action RPG. Of course, this was expected given Obsidian's pedigree. A full character creation tool, party members with an actual purpose, leveling up, and, last but not least, looting were some of the features being worked into the game at one point or another.
Sadly, due to financial troubles and people who have never played a video game in their life, the game was cancelled. Question is: will we ever get a proper game that does justice to the Alien franchise?
I will leave you with this question and with some footage of a game that could have been great...
